I'm currently writing for Underknown's WHAT IF and CHASE DIES IN SPACE Youtube channels, and their 9 million subscribers. We're making speculative space and science videos with a healthy dose of humour. CHASE DIES IN SPACE is an Unreal Engine animated half-hour show about a fictional space explorer & content creator who dies in outer space. Repeatedly. It’s a science-based comedy with plenty of pop-culture references, curiosity-driven narratives, and impossible intergalactic quests.

I first start writing scripts and novels while working as a lumberjack in a coal-mining town. It was considered weird, to be charitable. 

I was originally drawn into proper film and TV as a writer — my first project was scripting a period cannibal convict film. Followed that up with a short-but-spectacular career as an avante-garde poet that ended in a cross-country pink ambulance tour — before jumping into professional production as a writer/director and editor .

More recently, my short film HYPERNOVA hit the pandemic-infused festival circuit in 2020, joined by Jim Morrison's BONECRUSHER soon after. My short film TIMEBOX screened at several fests, and played CBC's Canadian Reflections, mostly at Halloween.I also wrote the CTV / CRAVE / PEACOCK series EVOLVING VEGAN starring Mena Massoud.

I tend to write about oddballs and freaks and miscreants and nimrods. They're the best -- outsider characters in unique situations, grounded in regular humanity. That’s what I love about good books and TV—following geeks and iconoclasts through strange and harrowing settings as they blow up their daily lives. I appreciate specificity, oddness, honesty and watching it mash up against the human experience and what we all need—love, warmth, shelter, and—love.
