I'm a writer, director & picture editor with 15+ years experience in the film & TV industry. I was raised in Fort McMurray by two English teachers, started my career in biosciences, and made my first dramatic film when Super16mm stock was chic. Also, I once drove a pink ambulance across the country on a poetry tour. It's a wide-ranging career to date, but I'm currently focusing on writing and directing docs and narrative film & TV.
My most recent film as writer/director is HYPERNOVA, currently on the festival circuit. I directed and picture edited the dramatic sci-fi digital series HAPHEAD (IPF/Canal+), the award-winning sci-fi feature GHOSTS WITH SHIT JOBS, and docs like the super-viral HOW INK IS MADE , THE MUSIC OF MADNESS and the just-released climate change doc CAPTURING CARBON.
I wrote & produced the sci-fi / horror film TIMEBOX which played New York's Philip K Dick Film Festival and premiered on CBC’s Canadian Reflections in 2018. My next project to hit the screen will be Jim Morrison's BONECRUSHER, a period-boxing film about the indomitable Sam Langford, which recently won the DGC Short Film Award (and funding!) and premiered at the Boston Film Fest in late 2020.
I worked as a picture editor on the CSA-winning news-documentary series 16x9 (GlobalTV) for several seasons, and directed multiple documentary series including: MADE IN TORONTO, Sportsnet’s CANADIAN CATHEDRALS, Maclean’s BEST RESTAURANT digital series, and BookTV’s 3-DAY NOVEL CONTEST.
I've also worked as a lumberjack, a professional fly fisherman and a director of photography. Like I said -- it's been a wide ranging career. I can't help it, I love learning new things.
I'm a Director member of the Directors Guild of Canada, and I live and work in Toronto. To get a sense of the things I work on, check out the directing, editing and writing sections below.

I'm rather obsessed with narrative and story.
