EDITING

DOCUMENTARY & CURRENT AFFAIRS

Editing documentary, current affairs and non-fiction regularly since 2003. Often cut my own material, but also edit consistently for national shows like GlobalTV's CSA-winning 16x9.

Over the years I've edited 50+ feature stories for 16x9; a mix of investigative, medical, crime, arts, human interest, malpractice, legal and government stories - between 15 minutes and an hour in length. It's fast-paced and a helluva rush some days.

A great crew & set of producers, everyone on staff is expected to be a strong journalist - including the editors. The editor's gig on a show like that is as much story as montage and tone. We work with the producers to shape narrative, then craft openers and moments to hook viewers - reel is a sampling of the work, links to stories to come soon.

IDIOSYNCRATIC PROMOS

Years ago, I was a one-man promo machine at BookTV--writing and editing 30 second spots by the bushel. These are fun--Hitchcock, Batman, montages.
